He Moves in Mysterious (and sometimes difficult) Ways 

As you all have no doubt heard, Mrs. Caroline and I will soon be ending our ministry here at Crossview Baptist Church. This decision was one of the hardest I have had to make in my life. The Crossview family is great--we love it here. However, the hardest part about making this decision is leaving "our kids." No, we are not leaving Raelyn and Jonah with their grandparents. We have grown especially attached to you--the teens in our Youth Group. You truly are a special group of youngsters. I can see God moving in your hearts and I pray that your love and service for Him will grow in the days ahead.

As I said, this has been a very difficult decision for me. I have had to fight the feelings of resenting and questioning His will. Things like, "God are you sure?" and "God You're asking me to abandon them" were common in my prayers. But through it all, God made it clear to me that His way is perfect. It may be hard to see, but God has a plan in all of this. I am confident that God will give you just the right man as your next youth pastor (and what a lucky man that will be!).

As my family and I are moved on, please don't let your walk with God suffer. I would emplore all of you to stay faithful--keep serving, keep teaching, keep visiting, keep leading others to the Savior every chance you get! The Lord will honor you for your service and He will bless you and do great things as you serve Him.

I want you to know that my family and I love you very much and it has been the greatest joy of my life to be allowed to be part of your lives. Thank you for all that you have meant to us!
